The Airone della Laguna – International Collateral Award is dedicated to emerging filmmakers, innovative cinematic languages and new voices from emerging national cinemas.
The event will bring together filmmakers, producers, artists and representatives of film and cultural organisations, creating an opportunity for professional exchange, international networking and the presentation of new creative perspectives.
Invited speakers will contribute to the Award’s mission by exploring contemporary forms of cinematic expression and their relationship with today’s rapidly evolving cultural and social landscape.
During the event, selected directors, producers and internationally recognised guests will present their work and projects. Teasers and trailers will be screened, accompanied by visual presentations introducing the films, their creative concepts and their productions.
Particular attention will be given to works presented in the Orizzonti section of the Venice International Film Festival, with a focus on emerging directors, lesser-known works and national cinemas gaining greater international visibility.
The Airone della Laguna – International Collateral Award recognises films distinguished by original ideas, innovative storytelling, bold visual languages and contemporary themes.
The event also aims to create connections between filmmakers, producers, festivals and cultural organisations, encouraging international dialogue, professional exchange and new opportunities for collaboration.

The event is promoted by three organisations whose complementary activities combine film culture, international networking and the promotion of emerging cinematic talent.
Associazione Montecatini Cinema APS, based in Montecatini Terme, coordinates the initiative and is represented by Marcello Zeppi, President and Artistic Director of the Airone della Laguna – International Collateral Award. The Association coordinates the event and its relationships with the participating organisations and international partners.
CINETOUR, chaired by Can Saracoglu, brings together an international network of more than 125 cultural organisations from around the world. Its activities promote cooperation among festivals, universities and cultural organisations, fostering international exchange and creating connections between film professionals and cultural institutions.
CINIT – Cineforum Italiano, chaired by Massimo Caminiti, promotes film culture through its activities and participation in major Italian film events, including the Venice International Film Festival.
