LBXR eXchange: Unlocking Interoperability

LBXR eXchange is an industry initiative bringing together key stakeholders from the Location-Based Extended Reality (LBXR) ecosystem to explore the foundations of a more open, connected, and interoperable immersive experience industry. Inspired by successful interoperability models in the film sector, the initiative aims to define shared technical and operational principles that facilitate compatibility between platforms, content providers, and venues.
The event will present and discuss the vision behind LBXR eXchange, fostering dialogue between creators, technology providers, operators, and industry partners around the future of immersive experiences, scalable distribution models, and the development of more accessible LBXR ecosystems.

LBXR eXchange is initiated by UNIVRSE / XRoam Platform and SMALL CREATIVE / OnSite Platform, two actors involved in the development and distribution of location-based extended reality experiences. Through their collaboration, they aim to address the fragmentation of the LBXR ecosystem by exploring interoperability frameworks, shared operational practices, and new models connecting immersive content creators, platforms, and venues.
The initiative is designed as an open industry collaboration, welcoming dialogue with additional stakeholders to support the emergence of a more connected and sustainable LBXR ecosystem.
