Italian Film Commissions brings together organizations that provide free services, including logistical assistance, access to local financial resources, permit granting, mapping regional workforces and service providers, and location scouting. It works to encourage investment in the film and audiovisual sector in individual regions, offering a unified image of Italy's audiovisual sector, showcasing its regional specificities, and promoting its regions and their unique cultural, artistic, touristic, landscape, and industrial values.

To support regional development on a global scale, Italian Film Commissions focuses on strengthening relationships with national and international organizations and institutions, developing system-wide initiatives for the growth and promotion of Italy's audiovisual sector.

Italian Film Commissions promotes the growth of international co-production and the establishment of operational and development partnerships. The Association's objectives include promoting and safeguarding the quality of audiovisual production services, as well as improving the operational performance of its member organizations through training and refresher courses.
