SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT

The Holy See participates in the Biennale Arte with the pavilion entitled “Con i miei occhi” at the Venice’s Women's Prison on the Giudecca. Here words and images merge, stimulating and developing reflections on the relationship between art and society. With the same approach, the Italian Catholic Bishops Conference participates in the Biennale Cinema through the cultural proposal of the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo. Thus, between art and cinema, starting from the screening of Marco Perego's video installation “Dovecote”, we propose a talk about “seeing as synonymous with touching, with the gaze, embracing with the eye, bringing sight and perception into a dialogue with each other".
