XV Sorriso Diverso Venezia Award

The Sorriso Diverso Award reaches its 15th edition in 2025. The initiative, produced by the communication agency Dream on s.r.ls. in collaboration with Tulipani di Seta Nera, was conceived by Paola Tassone. The award quickly found fertile ground within the most prestigious international film event in the country: the Venice International Film Festival, where it became an official collateral award.
The event is distinguished by its selection of films screened during the festival that best highlight social themes: from the integration and inclusion of marginalized individuals to the promotion of topics of shared interest, such as environmental emergencies and the concept of sustainability.
The Sorriso Diverso Venezia Award aims to recognize both national and international auteur cinema that uses its language to give voice to issues related to the fragility not only of people, but also of places. The undisputed cultural significance of the initiative has earned it a place on the stage of an internationally renowned film festival, granting the event not only strong visibility in the cinematic landscape but also the opportunity to strengthen the role of Italian culture in the realm of the seventh art.
