Book Adaptation Rights Market 2026 - Publishers and literary agents selected

The 11th edition of the Book Adaptation Rights Market (September 4th – 6th, 2026), organized as part of the Venice Production Bridge, will take place at the Hotel Excelsior at the Lido di Venezia, during the forthcoming 83rd Venice International Film Festival (September 2nd – 12th, 2026).
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Following the call which was launched in January , the Book Adaptation Rights Market has selected 30 international publishing houses and literary agencies.

The Venice Production Bridge will provide a dedicated area to meet the producers registered to the Venice International Film Festival through one-to-one meetings. The meetings will allow to foster lasting relationships and to make deals on the adaptation of novels, dramas, children’s literature, short stories, comics, graphic novels, essays, and biographies.

The Book Adaptation Rights Market will enable the invited publishers to propose their entire catalogue for film adaptation, rather than focusing on a single book, as opposed to other events dedicated to publishing within the scope of film festivals. A brochure featuring all the publishers and literary agents, along with their new titles and catalogues will be sent to all registered producers beforehand.
