THE NEW EDITION OF THE BOOK ADAPTATION RIGHTS MARKET

From 1 to 3 September at the Venice Production Bridge as part of the 80th Venice International Film Festival

BOOK ADAPTATION RIGHTS MARKET

The Venice Production Bridge is launching the Call for Publishers for the eight edition of the Book Adaptation Rights Market, which will take place from September 1st to 3rd, 2023, during the 80th Venice International Film Festival (August 30th – September 9th, 2023).

The Book Adaptation Rights Market will offer up to 34 international publishing houses and literary agencies, including 4 invited as part of the VPB FOCUS 2023, a dedicated area to meet the producers registered to the Venice International Film Festival through one-to-one meetings.

Compared to other events dedicated to publishing within the context of Film Festivals, the Book Adaptation Rights Market will enable the invited publishers to propose their entire catalogue for film adaptations, rather than focusing on a single book or volume.

Following the FOCUS on Comics organized in 2022, within the BARM 2023 we will dedicate a special FOCUS to Children’s and Young Adults Literature.
