VPB supported projects selected for Cannes 2025

From development at the Venice Production Bridge to the premiere on the Croisette. Four films and one immersive project are set to premiere in May 2025.

The Venice Production Bridge has the great pleasure to announce that four films and one Immersive project, which were presented at project stage in different programmes of the VPB, have been selected to premiere in Cannes in 2025.

In Un Certain Regard, four VPB backed titles will have their world premiere:

PROMISED SKY by Erige Sehiri (France, Tunisia, Qatar), pictured above, was presented at the Venice Gap-Financing Market in 2024 and will be the Opening Film of Un Certain Regard 2025.

KARAVAN by Zuzana Kirchnerová (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy), was presented at the Venice Gap-Financing Market in 2023.

THE MYSTERIOUS GAZE OF THE FLAMINGO by Diego Céspedes (Chile, France, Mexico, Spain), was presented at the Venice Gap-Financing Market in 2022.

AISHA CAN’T FLY AWAY (AISHA LA TASTAEA AL TAYRAN) by Morad Mostafa (Egypt, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France), was presented at Final Cut in Venice in 2024, where it  won the prestigious Biennale award.

The Immersive experience IN THE CURRENT OF BEING by Cameron Kostopoulos (United States, France), presented at the Venice Gap-Financing Market in 2024, will have its international premiere in the Cannes Immersive competition.
