VPB BACKED PROJECTS WIN TOP AWARDS AT THE 2024 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

The Damned by Roberto Minervini (VGFM 2023) wins the award for best director in the Un Certain Regard section and The Brink of Dreams by Nada Riyadh and Ayman El Amir (FCV 2022) wins the Golden Eye Award for the Best Documentary Film in Cannes.

La Biennale di Venezia and the Venice Production Bridge congratulate the teams behind two VPB backed projects awarded at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival:
 

  • The Damned by Roberto Minervini (Venice Gap-Financing Market 2023) wins the award for best director in the Un Certain Regard section;
  • The Brink of Dreams by Nada Riyadh and Ayman El Amir (Final Cut in Venice 2022, former title: Land of Women) wins the Golden Eye Award for the Best Documentary Film.

Confirming their crucial matchmaking role in the arthouse film industry, the upcoming Venice Gap-Financing Market and Final Cut in Venice selections will be announced respectively in late June and early July 2024.
