Extended deadline for the Venice Gap-Financing Market 2025

The call open to European and International projects  (Fiction and documentary feature films, and immersive projects) has been extended to MAY 8, 2025.

La Biennale di Venezia announces that the new call for the Venice Gap-Financing Market has been EXTENDED to May 8, 2025, due to the great demand and last minute surge in applications.

The twelfth edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market will be held from 29th to 31st of August 2025, as part of the Venice Production Bridge of the 82nd  Venice International Film Festival (27 August – 6 September 2025) directed by Alberto Barbera.

The Venice Gap-Financing Market is a platform for selected projects that aims to support European and international producers to secure financing for their projects (Fiction, Documentaries, Immersive Projects) through one-to-one meetings with potential and pertinent international professionals (producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters and funds). All the invited professionals are decision-makers.

This call is open to European and International projects for the following categories:

  • Fiction and Documentary Feature Films: up to 27/33 feature films and international narrative or creative feature documentaries, including 3 Biennale College Cinema Projects, from all over the world will be selected. There is no genre limitation and animation feature films are welcome;
  • Immersive Projects: up to 10/12 immersive projects from all over the world will be selected.

The 3-day event (29 - 31 August 2025) will present up to 45 selected European and International projects and Immersive Projects developed through the Biennale College Immersive.
